Back Selling on my Etsy Shop

Just a quick post today, to tell you all that I am now selling on Etsy again!

I took quite a lot of time out from my online shop, and it was very much neglected. This was due to me going through a hard time in my personal life, and on top of that I started my new job in the design industry. I will be doing a post about my first job of of university experience, so look out for that.

I have eased myself back into my Etsy shop and have started with digital prints with sayings and quotes I love and which helped me get through each day.

Graduation - Fashion Style Dos and Don'ts

I finally graduated from university, I graduated a year later than my class mates, so I had their inputs into what I should wear for my graduation ceremony.

Dress: Apricot
Shoes: Marks & Spencer
Bag (not pictured): Radleys from House of Fraser

I have had the shoes for some time, so I knew they were really comfortable, and the heel height makes them easy to walk in, remember you have to walk up to a stage without falling head over heels. Finding my dress took a lot of time, I knew I didn't want a blue dress as blue is Brunels University colour. I went for a peach lace dress, which I know I will wear again.

Do wear a dress of a decent length. This is your graduation not a night out partying, there were far too many girls with barely bum covering dresses!
Don't wear a revealing dress, as said above this is your graduation, save the skimpy outfits for a night club.
Do wear shoes you are walk in, and that are comfortable. You will most probably be in them for a long time.
Don't wear clumpy shoes; the gown is going to make you look boxy enough without you adding big big ole odd nails to it.
Do take bobby pins with you, so you can pin the graduation cap to your hair. To ensure there is no slipping / popping off / or going lopsided.
Do have natural makeup, your graduation photo will always be with you, and you want to look timeless.
Do make sure your nails look their best, you will be holding a certificate and your nails will be on show. I went for a classic French manicure

Wish List #2

I put together a wish list of things I have been lusting over.

1. A onesie! Now I do already have a onesie, but I have had it for about 2 years, so think it is time for a new one. I love my onesie for lazying around the house in. The onesie in my picture above is from Asda, and they have quite a few to chose from, plus they are fairly cheap and affordable which is a bonus. Follow this link to see all the onesies that George / Asda have.

2. Born Lippy Stick Lip Balm, these lip balms are from the Body Shop, I love love love tinted lip balms, as they can just been thrown in my bag and applied through out the day. Now I can't really decide which colour I want. I quite like the look of the Plum one, as well as all of them, Strawberry, Pink Berry. Although I am hoping that the Plum one will be a replacement for my Models Own Blackberry Lip Balm Pot that was sadly discontinued :(  Boo! Follow this link to see the Born Lippy range.

3. Chelsea Boots, I never thought I would want these again! I used to have a pair when I was about 6 years old, my mother says that I cried for them because "My friend has them!". I know I will buy a pair really soon, as I am getting quite excited just by the thought of buying them. Chelsea boots are great as they go with SO many outfits. And seeing as winter is almost upon us, I think I will spend a bit of time over the weekend deciding which ones I want. Follow this link to see all the Chelsea boots from Asos.

If you have wishlists post them as comments below, or link to your blog posts, I love looking at other people wishlists :)

Birthday Tag

1. What month is your birthday? October.

2. How old are you turning? 25 (Quarter of a century!!)

3. What is your birthstone? I believe it is opal. But I will check... Yes it is opal. Wish it was turquoise though, as I love turquoise stones.

4. What was you’re favorite present that you’ve ever received? I have two, the first is my Tiffany's charm bracelet which I got on my eighteenth. And the second is a key pendant necklace, also from Tiffany's, and that was for my twenty-first birthday "She's got the key of the door.. she's 21 today!"

5. Are you/did you have a party this year? if so what are you doing? I'm not really having a party, as my father passed away 5 months ago, so this birthday will be the first without him. But my boyfriend is coming round to mine to meet my mum for the first time (!!) And for dinner and cake :)

6. How do you usually celebrate your birthday? I don't really like to be center of attention, so it's usually a family meal, with birthday cake for desert of course!

7. What was the most memorable birthday that you had? When I was younger, my family and I would always go on holiday over my birthday, so I have spent lots of birthdays abroad in Europe (mainly in Portugal area, and Spain). And on my birthday morning, there were always birthday cards pushed under the hotel room door for me :)  (My family used to give them to my parents before we flew out, and my parents made it look as though they had been push through the door).

8. If you had an unlimited amount of money what would you do for your birthday? Oooh fly myself, mum, and boyfriend somewhere nice and warm with golden beaches and clear blue sea.

9. What’s your birthday wish list? Nothing. And I mean absolutely nothing. There really isn't anything I really want this year. Apart from my mum liking my boyfriend haha.

10. Do you have any birthday traditions? To have cake! I haven't got a sweet tooth at all, but I do love birthday cake.

11. What’s your favorite thing about your birthday?
Hmmm.. cake.

12. What’s one thing that changed a lot since your last birthday?
Apart from the obvious fact that my dad is no longer here. My hair has changed a lot. Used to have a full fringe with long hair, and then the fringe was grown out but I kept my long hair. But now I have a bob hair cut.

13. Have you ever been thrown a surprise party or have you ever thrown one for someone?
No to both parts. I don't really like surprises, and if I were to throw a surprise party I don't think I would be able to keep it a surprise. For a shy person, I sometimes have quite a big mouth lol.

14. How old do you feel? Hmm, I have to say I still feel about 16 (is that awful?!) I do look really young so I think that is mainly why. Plus I am still a big kid at heart.

I tag everyone to do this post on their birthday. (If / when you do comment below with a link to the post so I can be nosy)

Had My First Sell On Etsy

In August I opened an Etsy shop. I did this because I had  just  finished at uni, and I was in the process of looking for a job and I thought I may as well make use out of my time!

I started of selling digital files that can be downloaded instantly. I have designed several posters / wall art and I have recently expanded and designed gift tags.

I was so so so excited to finally sell something on Etsy, so thank you to Krista at the Girls Mom shop.

My shop still needs a lot of work, and is still a tad empty, my shop is called Love for Fonts and can be viewed here: www.etsy.com/shop/LoveForFonts  A few of the things I have started with can be seen below. The first item is what I sold!
