As the title of this post suggests I am currently looking for a typography workshop that I can visit.
I thought this would be easy, but unfortunately the London Typography Museum is closed, and I am not sure when it will reopen as my email to them hasn't been answered yet.
I have found an amazing Typography Museum in Chania, Crete, Greece. From just looking at their site, it looks incredible. And they do allow for photos to be taken, but unfortunately I wouldn't be permitted to use them in my project. However I have been told that a permit can be purchased from the museum.
The next one I found is in Italy. Here is a link to their website. They do allow photographs to be taken which is great. Plus the museum staff have been really helpful, I have been emailing back and forth and I have been given such great advise ad information regarding flights and hotels / b&bs
I then found a Printing Museum in Brussels, which looks also looks really good.
Here you can view a list of Typography / Printing museums.
My dilemma is where to go? I was thinking about Greece as I would have taken a longer stay and made a holiday out of it. But now I am leaning towards going to Italy.
I will take a few days to decide and plan, and I will perhaps make a post of where to stay in Italy and things to do :)
