I bought this book about a year ago now from Amazon, you can view the above book by clicking here. I purchased it because I was trying to develop my portfolio. As when you are first starting out as a creative designer the portfolio looks a little bare!
I have found this book to be really inspiring, there are many creative briefs in the book, and at the end of each brief there is a section that show "solutions" to that brief. And these are good to look over when lacking a bit of inspiration.
The book is nicely split up into sections, and they are: packaging design, branding, visual identity, promotion, page layout (my favourite), music graphics, and screen-based design.
Most of the sections listed above have three briefs with the exception of visual identity and branding that has five briefs.
Even after I finish the briefs in the book I will still keep the book as there are lots of designs and pieces of work in it. The glossary's and the suggested book lists are also really useful.
This is definitely a keeper! I have also had a quick look on Amazon, and there are a couple of books that I think will be going on my Christmas wishlist!!
This is a great post. I like this topic. This site has lots of advantage. It helps me in many ways. Thanks for posting this again.
